75 couples (150 people) invited to Shinjuku Isetan's night event "New York Night Market"

On May 27th, Isetan Shinjuku will be holding a night event where you can experience New York culture, "NEW YORK NIGHT MARKET," in the event hall on the 6th floor of the main building. The event will run from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. (Registration begins at 7:30 PM at the reception counter at the entrance to the event hall on the 6th floor.)

The New York Exhibition will introduce the latest information on New York, including local gourmet food and fashion, divided into the three districts of "Brooklyn," "Uptown," and "Downtown." Visitors can shop at booths such as Bareburger and Baked, and enjoy the gourmet food they purchase in the eat-in area. In addition, there will be a free welcome drink and special gifts from Magnolia Bakery. Jazz DJ and music producer Hiroko Otsuka will also be in attendance, and visitors can enjoy live performances by musicians she features and live painting by artists. In addition to Hiroko Otsuka, scheduled performers include Kohei Ando, David Negrete, Satoshi Yoshida, NOVOL, Saeko Sugaya, Shintaraw Sato, Genki Hashimoto, Takuya Arakawa "B", Ren Yamamoto, and Shota Watanabe.
Kohei Ando is a saxophonist and a member of the first generation of musicians of the Heisei era, active in a wide range of fields, from the underground scene to supporting major artists and recording. David Negrete entered the Berklee Conservatory of Music on a full scholarship in 2004 and moved to Japan in 2011, where he formed the band "Tribe of D." Satoshi Yoshida won the top prize at the 2001 Gibson Jazz Guitar Contest. He is currently participating in MISIA's Hoshizora VIII MoonJourney Tour and performing as a member of Hanah Spring's band, arranging and recording, mainly in Tokyo and across the country. NOVOL is a painter and designer. He began painting after being inspired by jazz in 2002, and continues to depict the vibrant relationship between people and music through human faces.

Saeko Sugaya began tap dancing in her teens and has practiced various dance styles. She runs the AFRO CUBAN WORK SHOP and FREE STYLE CLUB throughout Japan, and through these activities, continues to travel and experience various people and cultures. Shintaraw Sato began his career at age 18, focusing on breakdancing. He focuses on freestyle, primarily floor steps, and actively participates in jams and sessions. Genki Hashimoto is an endorser of Bosphorus cymbals. As an all-round player, he has performed with many musicians both in Japan and abroad.

Takuya Arakawa "B" discovered Latin percussion at the age of 16 and developed a style characterized by a steady beat, powerful playing, and a genuine enjoyment of performing. Ren Yamamoto began playing bass at age 14 and was soon influenced by Jaco Pastorius, immersing himself in jazz and R&B music. Shota Watanabe is active across the country, primarily in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, and is not limited to any particular genre, performing with his own group and supporting various artists.

According to the venue, last orders in the eat-in area are accepted by 8:30 PM. Visitors driving vehicles (including motorcycles and cars) and minors are prohibited from drinking or tasting alcohol. The event content is subject to change.

Fashion Headline will invite 75 pairs (150 people) of email newsletter subscribers to this night event via lottery. The application deadline is noon on May 19th. Winners will be notified by email at 2:00 PM on May 20th.
