Isetan Shinjuku will open the "Nakamura Keith Haring POP SHOP," a limited-time shop featuring Keith Haring art and pre-sale items, in the event space on the sixth floor of the main building from May 25th to 30th. The pop-up shop is part of the "New York Exhibition," which showcases New York fashion, cuisine, and culture. The shop showcases the "low and avant-garde" world of downtown New York through its items and decorations. The shop will offer a variety of items that allow you to easily enjoy New York art, including iPhone cases (starting at ¥2,500) from GRAHT featuring graphics by Keith Haring, a representative New York artist known for his subway drawings; tote bags (starting at ¥2,700) available for pre-sale; and boldly colored knit caps, socks, and clutch bags. Vendôme Aoyama will also be selling rings featuring Keith Haring's icons (from ¥4,600), colorful hair ties (from ¥1,900), and hairpins featuring Keith Haring's initials, Baby Symbol, and face. Hanaa-fu bags featuring Keith Haring's art (from ¥29,000) and PORTER's special edition Hello Tote (¥12,000) will also be available. The store manager commented, "We hope that (through this event) customers will feel closer to the worldview and energy of Keith, one of New York's most representative artists of the 1980s, and incorporate art into their everyday fashion items." The Nakamura Keith Haring Museum is located in Kobuchizawa, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and is headed by Kazuo Nakamura. This is the world's first museum to exhibit only the Keith Haring collection, with the theme "The World of Keith Haring - From Chaos to Hope." Keith Haring's works, which are displayed in the museum, express "hope and dreams for the future" against the backdrop of the "light and shadow" of 1980s America, while also depicting "the madness that humans possess."
