Ryan McGinley collaborates with Shinjuku Isetan. Experience New York, brimming with fashion, art, and music!

Starting May 25th, The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building will host a pop-up called "CREATORS STUDIO FROM 90'S TO THE PRESENT," which will feature New York culture through the elements of fashion, art, and music.

This pop-up, which will be held as part of the "New York Week" fair at the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building and Men's Building from May 25th to 31st, will explore the charm of New York, a city of freedom where cutting-edge cultures from around the world come together, from three angles: "fashion," "art," and "music."

When you think of New York in the 1990s, many figures who are leading the way today (and the future at the time) come to mind, such as Kate Moss, Chloë Sevigny, and Sofia Coppola. The venue space is designed to resemble the shared studio that served as a community for such creators, with paint-stained floors, art supplies dotted on shelves, and shelves crammed with records and art books, evoking the bustling atmosphere of the time as a place where creations evolved.

And then there's the intriguing lineup of items. Among them, the highlight is the collaboration items with Ryan McGinley, a popular New York photographer who visited Japan in April and is currently holding an exhibition at Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. The six items, which were developed through a process of selection and communication with Ryan himself, are all limited edition and include a limited-edition coach jacket (¥36,000 each) with Ryan's artwork printed on the back, available in sizes S, M, and L (30 pieces total), as well as a pouch (¥9,000), scarf (¥20,000), blanket (¥26,000), bandana (¥3,000), and sticker (¥1,000).

Other items available include a collaboration with Takashi Homma, a one-of-a-kind vintage boombox (¥64,800, refurbished) from the collection of electronics collector Junichi Matsuzaki, vintage T-shirts selected by Harajuku vintage clothing store Laboratory/BerBerJin(R), records, cassettes, and CDs selected by Tower Records, and art books selected by Tsutaya Bookstore.

The pop-up will run until the 31st. The "Ryan McGinley BODY LOUD!" exhibition at Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery runs until July 10th.
