The PASS THE BATON GALLERY inside the PASS THE BATON Omotesando store will be holding the exhibition "SPERANZA - Hope - Akira Minagawa" from November 14th to December 8th.


RICHARD GINORI is a long-established Italian tableware brand that has been creating a wide variety of products while preserving traditions that have continued for over 280 years since 1735. Since 2017, the company has welcomed Akira Minagawa, who works for mina perhonen, as its exclusive designer, and has released tableware collections such as "SPERANZA" and "FLORENTIA." For this project, the company will be overprinting three tableware patterns from the "Speranza" collection, which means "hope," including "Speranza," featuring two doves; "Oliva," depicting an olive tree, whose floral language is wisdom and peace; and "Germorio," featuring a motif of sprouting new buds. Minagawa himself has written new words depicting scenes and stories he imagines from his motifs. These pieces have been breathed new life into vessels that failed to meet Japan's strict production standards, and will be exhibited and sold.
