Dries Van Noten opens first Kansai street-level store on Midosuji in Osaka

Aug 5, 2015

Dries Van Noten will open a new store on Midosuji in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, on August 15th. The address is 2-2-3 Nishishinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture.

The interior of the approximately 100-square-meter store is composed of four elements: concrete, bronze, yellow silk, and mirror, evoking the design concept of the flagship Aoyama store. The store also features a table made almost entirely from a single walnut tree, similar to the one in the Aoyama store. This evocative design evokes the warmth of traditional Japanese design, which incorporates nature and plants as important elements, creating a beautiful contrast with the minimalist design.

In addition, by displaying both men's and women's collections on one floor, the space is designed to harmonize the two collections while telling their own story.
