The first collection of the collaboration between Lemaire and Uniqlo, "UNIQLO AND LEMAIRE," was unveiled on August 25th, and the release date was announced as October 2nd. Lemaire is a fashion brand led by Parisian designers Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran, who have previously worked with Hermès. The theme of the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection is "IN and OUT," with "IN" referring to inside the home and "OUT" referring to going out. The collection is designed to be versatile, suitable for a wide range of occasions, from relaxing at home to meeting people for work. According to Uniqlo, this collaboration was realized due to the similarities between Lemaire's concept of "being inspired by the everyday actions of people" and Uniqlo's "LifeWear" spirit. The collection includes 31 women's styles and 25 men's styles, for a total of 56 items. The full lineup was unveiled yesterday on a special website.

The image visuals were shot by Alasdair McLellan, a photographer who primarily shoots portraits for i-D magazine covers and advertisements. The two designers themselves handled the styling.

The colors include white, black, navy, khaki, and mauve green. While the silhouettes are simple, the relaxed fit and longer lengths create an effortless finish that matches the current trend. While some materials, such as cashmere, have been used in previous products, some are being used for the first time at UNIQLO AND LEMAIRE.

The full lineup is available at 36 stores, including UNIQLO Ginza, BICQLO, Shinjuku East Exit, Sapporo Esta, Sendai Izumi, Nagoya Sakae, Osaka, and Canal City Hakata, as well as online. Some items are also planned to be sold at other stores.
