RAW for the Oceans released its third season, the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection, on August 15th.

The collection was born from a partnership between G-Star RAW, Bionic Yarn, and Parley for the Oceans. Over the past two seasons, 53 tons of plastic waste has been removed from the coasts of Indonesia, China's Hainan Province, and Australia. Over 2 million pieces of plastic waste dumped in the ocean have been collected and recycled into high-quality denim pants, denim jackets, T-shirts, sweatshirts, and other items.

The starting point for this 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection was a sketch by musician Pharrell Williams, who is the project's curator, of a jacket with a hood that covers the face. This jacket is combined with G-Star RAW's signature military design to create the futuristic "Occotis Hooded Bomber."

Other designs, such as a men's peacoat made from black RAW denim and a Breton stripe pattern featuring the project's mascot, Otto, are inspired by the sea. Other pieces include jeans and jackets with distressed and patched finishes, as well as Occo Skinny jeans and shorts painted in chalk white.

The visuals for the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter season were photographed by Anton Corbijn, one of the most versatile and influential visual artists in contemporary pop culture. As a photographer, Anton Corbijn has helped create images for artists such as Joy Division, U2, and Depeche Mode, before working on films like "Control" and "The American." His latest film, "Life," about the friendship between James Dean and LIFE magazine photographer Dennis Stock, is due for release in September.
