This is the official exhibition catalogue for the "Suzuki Risaku Photography Exhibition: Stream of Consciousness," currently being held at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. It contains approximately 80 photographs, mainly new and unpublished works, three video works, as well as works not featured in the exhibition, as well as many essays and interviews, making it more than just an exhibition catalogue; it is a luxurious collection of photographs. The title is based on Suzuki's own experience: "When I surrender to the act of looking, random memories and various thoughts come to mind, eventually resulting in a wave of emotion." As I turn the pages of this book, I feel naturally drawn into that experience. This re-experiencing will surely inspire reflection on the act of looking. The cover is available in three designs: sea, mirror, and cherry blossoms. The beautiful binding, which harmonizes with the artwork down to the last detail, makes this a treasured addition to your bookshelf for years to come. "Suzuki Risaku Photography: Stream of Consciousness" will be held at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery from July 18 to September 23. After the exhibition, a standard edition with a different binding (8,000 yen) will be available for general sale. Once the special edition is sold out, the venue will switch to the standard edition.
