Jean Paul Gaultier's Gaultier Paris (GAULTIER PARIS) presented its 2015-16 Fall/Winter collection in the brand's headquarters' party room. The theme was Brittany, a region of France particularly known for its Celtic people and its unique culture. Crepes, cider, and the "Paris-Brest" dessert, named after Brest, the capital of Brittany, were served at the venue. The show kicked off with a series that made extensive use of Gaultier's signature marine stripes, evoking Brest, France's largest naval port. The silhouette of a circular skirt featuring a dancing Celtic pattern was inspired by the shape of crepe. Marine-striped knitwear featuring Irish lace, a tradition of Brittany, and pleated crepe skirts were featured. Coats and jackets evoking sailor and military sensibilities were embroidered with Celtic patterns in gold thread. Cognac orange, red, and metallic blue were used as accent colors, and the show featured dresses made full use of Gaultier's signature pleating technique, coats embroidered with cock feathers, and dresses featuring deboréed Celtic patterns. Christelle Saint-Louis Augustin, who was active in the mid-90s, appeared in a yellow Celtic-patterned dress, drawing thunderous applause from the audience. Anna Cleveland, wearing a patchwork marie made of Irish lace and deerskin, walked down the runway as a band played Celtic folk music. The audience erupted in excitement as the band followed. The finale song for Gaultier's entrance was "In the Navy" by Village People, perhaps in reference to one of his marine motifs.
