Jean Paul Gaultier presented the 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection of his haute couture line, GAULTIER PARIS. The event took place in the brand's headquarters' party room. This season, inspired by vampires, the collection showcased a variety of Gaultier-esque elements. The color palette centered on black, crimson, and gold, creating a dark and alluring impression. The collection made extensive use of the technique of layering organdy, particularly in the tailored series, where it was used to decorate shoulders and skirts, showcasing its sculptural beauty. The same technique was used on the pure white wedding dress with wing-like lines stretching down the back, which appeared as the final look, creating an airy finish that caught the wind as the wearer walked.
Other creations on show included a cape covered in mesh and fur, a houndstooth pattern gradient suit, a draped dress reminiscent of the works of Madame Grès, and a jumpsuit decorated with Swarovski crystals.
In the second half of the show, guest model Conchita Wurst, the winner of this year's Eurovision Song Contest and Austrian drag queen, appeared wearing an embroidered dress with a tortoiseshell motif, thrilling the audience.
