New from Louis Vuitton, the Charlie sneaker is designed to adapt to the fast-paced world of today, staying true to the Maison's innovative spirit. Available in sizes 34-47 (US sizes 3-13), it comes in both low-top and high-top silhouettes. A new must-have for any wardrobe, this model embodies all of the Maison's core values of mobility, comfort, and quality, making it the ideal everyday sneaker. Made from 90% recycled and bio-based materials, the Charlie challenges modern standards and represents an important step forward in environmental responsibility. From the sketches in the studio to Louis Vuitton's shoe atelier in Fiesso d'Artico, Northern Italy, a holistic approach applies the concept of circular creativity throughout. This concept is exemplified by the sole, which accounts for 50% of the Charlie's weight. It achieves a record-breaking feat by using over 94% recycled rubber while maintaining flexibility and shock absorption. The upper is constructed from a smooth synthetic material, layered with recycled polyester and Biopolioli, a corn-based plastic, and grained. The laces are made from 100% recycled materials, and the tongue patch is also made from ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon made from 100% recycled nylon waste and can be recycled multiple times. The back of the sneaker and the Maison's signature are also made from ECONYL®. The inner sole and lining are made from recycled polyurethane and recycled polyester, respectively.

Further advancing this approach, Louis Vuitton has completely redesigned its traditional packaging. The felt that gently encases Charlie is crafted from Tencel™, a brand-name fiber derived from renewable wood resources and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Additionally, the shoebox, made from 100% recycled cardboard, can be transformed into a bag with handles made from Tencel™, a wood fiber. Available in two sizes, this represents a total material savings of approximately 70%. The use of plant-based inks and the use of kraft paper for the shoebox interior also contribute to minimizing the environmental impact of this innovative packaging. "Louis Vuitton's Never-Ending Journey" is the Maison's sustainable development policy, aligned with the LIFE360 (LVMH environmental initiative) plan. Through six action points, the Maison aims to protect natural resources (sustainable supply of materials, climate change action, circular creativity) and positively impact society (diversity and inclusion, community engagement, and the development of expertise).
