"EDIT TOKYO," a new Tokyo-themed bookstore by B&B Bookstore, a joint venture between NUMABOOKS and Hakuhodo Kettle, will open on the 6th floor of the Ginza Sony Building in Tokyo from November 1st to the end of March 2017. Based on the success of B&B Bookstore, EDIT TOKYO is a new initiative based on the concept of "editing Tokyo." The store will feature a selection of books and magazines themed on Tokyo, a hub of fashion and culture, and aims to provide a space where visitors can discover new books about Tokyo they have never known before. Furthermore, with the aim of further enlivening Ginza by connecting new experiences, things, and people, talk events featuring editors and guests active in Tokyo and around the world will be held every Monday through Friday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The editor for the first commemorative event has been decided to be Yanai Hiroshi, the first editor-in-chief of the magazine Pia, and the participation fee is a flat 2,000 yen including tax.
In addition, there will be an exhibition and sale of carefully selected items themed around everyday Tokyo items. Details of the event and the book selection can be found on the official website of Bookstore EDIT TOKYO.
During the event, the store will be open from 11am to 9pm Monday to Friday, and from 11am to 7pm Saturday and Sunday, with January 1st 2017 being a closing day.
