Gucci is launching "GUCCI 4 ROOMS," an art project that communicates the brand's aesthetic through a completely new experience. The project invites four artists to create their own "rooms" inspired by Gucci's eclectic and unique world, and these four works will be presented both virtually and in person. The works will be unveiled in a digital online space on October 11th, and then on October 12th as an immersive installation in Tokyo's Ginza district. The four artists participating in this project include artist Trouble Andrew, with whom Gucci has been collaborating since the 2016-17 Autumn/Winter collection, as well as three internationally acclaimed Japanese artists: Chiharu Shiota, Daito Manabe, and Mr. Each artist has created an imaginative room, using their own unique interpretation and techniques, based on a motif symbolizing the design and aesthetic of Creative Director Alessandro Michele. Chiharu Shiota created the "GUCCI HERBARIUM ROOM," a fantastical interpretation of the spirituality hidden in Gucci's herbarium pattern; Daito Manabe created the "GUCCI WORDS ROOM," inspired by words from Alessandro's collection; and Mr. created the "GUCCI GARDEN ROOM," a garden that expresses Alessandro's message. The room designed by Trouble Andrew is a secret room that can only be reached by guests who discover the hidden elements in the other three rooms. Each room is filled with the latest items from Gucci's 2016-17 Autumn/Winter collection, as well as jewelry from the 2017 Cruise Collection and special items exclusive to Japan. Guests can enjoy shopping at the official Gucci online store while enjoying this artistic digital experience. The room will be unveiled on a special microsite (gucci4rooms.gucci.com) on October 11th, followed by installations by three Japanese artists in the event space on the seventh floor of Gucci Ginza from October 12th to 27th, and an installation by Trouble Andrew in the event space on the first floor of Dover Street Market Ginza from October 12th to 24th.
