
Danish textile brand Kvadrat will be holding a special exhibition of designer Akira Minagawa's textile collection "Akira Minagawa for Kvadrat," which was unveiled at the Milan Salone in April 2016, and his installation "FOREST COMES HOME." at the Kvadrat showroom in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, from October 26th to November 7th.
Kvadrat is a textile brand whose furniture upholstery, curtains, rugs, and more are used by many interior design brands, art museums, and hotels around the world, and it has developed textiles in collaboration with designers active in a variety of fields. At the Milan Salone in April 2016, the brand collaborated with Akira Minagawa, best known as the designer of minä perhonen.
The exhibition will feature the delicate and rich textiles created by Akira Minagawa. The installation, titled "FOREST COMES HOME." = "The forest comes to your home," is a fleeting, dreamlike exhibition based on the theme of the coexistence of nature and daily life.
