Dress code is denim! "Denim Run Onomichi" to be held for the first time on the Shimanami Kaido, a mecca for cyclists

Onomichi City, located in the Bingo region of Hiroshima Prefecture, is known for its thriving textile industry and for supplying fabrics to world-famous brands. The "DENIM RUN Onomichi" event will be held on November 23rd. Participants will cycle along the Setouchi Shimanami Kaido, a road marked by a denim dress code.

"DENIM RUN Onomichi" is a collaboration with "TWEED RUN TOKYO," an event where participants cycle around the city in tweed. The Tweed Run, which began in London, has spread worldwide, and is now held in Japan. The Onomichi Denim Run dress code is denim, not tweed. Participants enjoy cycling while wearing denim jackets, pants, and accessories.

"DENIM RUN Onomichi" is set on the Setouchi Shimanami Kaido, a road passing through Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, a renowned cycling mecca attracting cyclists from Japan and abroad. Starting and finishing at ONOMICHI U2, participants can enjoy a group ride in denim-clad Onomichi, a famous denim production area. After the event, a tea party will also be held at The RESTAURANT at ONOMICHI U2.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older and ride a bicycle regularly. Participation is free, but bicycle insurance (1,000 yen premium) is required.
