"Advent" solo exhibition by artist Kazuya Yamamoto, featuring "semi-transparent sculptures"

Oct 30, 2016

"Advent," a solo exhibition by artist Yamamoto Kazuya, who creates three-dimensional works using resin, will be held from October 29th to November 23rd at CCCSCD by cifaka in Okayama.

Yamamoto's sculptures are made of three-dimensional objects filled with transparent resin, which slowly build up their surface. The translucent sculptures, with their unique texture, have a mysterious power that makes it seem as if, when you try to focus on them, you are engulfed in a soft light that surrounds them.

The exhibition will feature nine three-dimensional works filled with transparent resin, including his latest work, which is over two meters wide. The works unconsciously enter the viewer's mind, bringing them closer to a realm of sensations that have yet to be fully grasped.
