Akris Japan will release the "TIARA" (848,000 yen), a model celebrating the 85th anniversary of German handbag brand COMTESSE, on June 15th.
The Tiara is based on Comtesse's long-selling "CORNELIE" bag, and features Swarovski crystals on the ring-shaped handle, which is originally decorated with cubic zirconia. The flap has a magnetic closure for easy closure. The metal parts, engraved with 12 cubic zirconia and the "COMTESSE" brand logo, are available in two colors: black metallic and light gold, matching the metallic color of the bag's body. The bag will be available at the Comtesse Boutique at the Imperial Hotel Plaza, as well as department stores such as Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi, Takashimaya Nihonbashi, Matsuzakaya Nagoya, Daimaru Shinsaibashi, and Daimaru Hakata.
Comtesse was founded in Oberthausen, Germany in 1929. Known for being the first to use horsehair in handbags, the brand won a gold medal at the Brussels Domestic Trade Fair in 1958. The first directly managed store in Japan opened in 1983. The brand is a favorite of Princess Masako and royal families from Thailand and Sweden.
