Alain Mikli will be holding an anniversary project at two stores: the Alain Mikli Boutique Marunouchi, which will celebrate its 14th anniversary in June, and the Alain Mikli Boutique Minami-Aoyama, which will celebrate its 19th anniversary in July.
For two months, from June 1st to July 31st, both stores will collaborate with artist Przemek Sobocki to showcase displays featuring the brand's iconic black and red Damier pattern.
Sobocki, a Polish illustrator based in Tokyo, has collaborated with brands such as Louis Vuitton and Isetan as well as worked on editorial pages for fashion magazines as a set designer and art director.
In conjunction with this project, the Marunouchi and Minami-Aoyama stores will be selling 10 pairs of each of two limited-edition anniversary project colors of eyewear models starting June 1st. The "J1305-2907" features a clean-cut design and a slightly thicker brow line. The classic square type "J1306-2907" has a design that emphasizes the brow line by lifting the outer corners of the eyes. Both models are linked to the Sobutuki project and feature Alain Mikli's iconic colors of black on the front and red on the temples. Each is priced at 28,000 yen.
In addition, the Marunouchi store will be selling the "J1305-2985" in a brown khaki color with vintage fabric from June 1st, and the Minami Aoyama store will be selling the "J1306-000B" in a honey brown color with black and Damier pattern from July 1st, both of which are also limited to 10 pieces each. Each is priced at 28,000 yen.
