Eyewear brand Alain Mikli has opened its first directly managed store in Kyoto on the second floor international boutique floor of Takashimaya Kyoto. In addition to its main line, the store will carry a variety of products, including new products from "STARCK EYES," a line created in collaboration with Philippe Starck, an architect and industrial designer, proposing designs that look "1,000 years into the future." Since its founding in 1978, the brand has presented eyewear based on the concept of "glasses for seeing and being seen." It has developed "garde robe" (a style that combines style with comfort and functionality. New designs include a "sloped eye shade cap line."
