On May 1st, United Arrows opened the first Tokyo store in Aoyama for its new business, ASTRAET, launched this season. The store is located at 5-5-25 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Business hours are 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The approximately 105-square-meter store features a "seasonal collection" incorporating trendy items to the right of the entrance, and a "permanent collection" featuring monochrome basics to the left. Seventy percent of the items are original, while 30% are purchased brands. Brands included include CEDRIC CHARLIER, EACH×OTHER, ELIZABETH AND JAMES, GIVENCHY, KENZO, lot holon, Masaki Matsushima, and MSGM. Currently, the store only carries women's items, but the company hopes to offer a men's lineup in the future.
At the end of May, Maison Martin Margiela's jewelry line, "MM12," will be available. In Japan, it will be available only at the brand's shops and this store. Prices range from ¥75,000 to ¥1,070,000.
The interior is "contemporary x vintage." Inspired by the Barcelona Pavilion by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, one of the three great masters of modern architecture, the luxury space blends with French modern taste. Lamps by designers such as Serge Mouille and Charlotte Perriand, as well as multipurpose stools by Max Bill, create a sophisticated atmosphere.
The Aoyama store is the store's third, following Hankyu Umeda and Nagoya Lachic. A pop-up store was previously opened in the women's section of the United Arrows Harajuku flagship store, and was so well received that the store was extended.
