Sep 27, 2013

On the 27th, United Arrows (UA) announced the launch of a new women's and men's select shop called "ASTRAET." The store is scheduled to open in March 2014. This business is part of the company's strategy to realize its long-term vision, "UA VISION2022," which ends in March 2022.

The business is being developed for the high-end market that UA has defined. This positioning puts it one level above the "UNITED ARROWS" brand, targeting mature men and women.

The creative director is Futoshi Azumaya, president of OFFICE TOYA, which engages in brand incubation and sales, and the art director is Tamotsu Yagi, president of the design firm Tamotsu Yagi Dsign.

The direction theme is "Modernize." The store will carry original products and purchased items categorized into three categories: New Basic, Heritage Classic, and Street Mix. The mix of original and purchased items is 65:35. The main price ranges for original items are 54,000 yen for jackets, 72,000 yen for outerwear, 23,000 yen for bottoms, 25,000 yen for knitwear, and 18,000 yen for blouses.

The store plans to open both street-level stores and in-shop locations. At the time of opening, it will mainly carry women's items.
