CHANEL has cast American actress Kristen Stewart in the advertising campaign for its 2013-2014 Métiers d'Art collection. The latest advertising videos and visuals have been released on its official website, CHANEL NEWS. Stewart gained attention for her role as Bella in the film adaptation of the popular novel series "Twilight," and has recently appeared in films such as "On the Road" and "Into the Wild." She stars alongside Juliette Binoche and Chloe Moretz in director Olivier Assayas' latest film, "Sils Maria," due for release in 2014. She has worn Chanel at events such as the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival and the 2010 BAFTA Gala. She met Chanel's artistic director, Karl Lagerfeld, during a photo shoot in Paris in January 2012, wearing Chanel haute couture.
The 2013-2014 Métiers d'Art collection was unveiled in December 2013 at Fair Park, a National Historical Park located in the heart of Dallas. The theme was "Wild West." The designs were inspired by the history of pioneers in Texas before the Civil War. Stewart also watched the show from the front row.
