From August 3rd to 9th, Isetan Shinjuku Main Store will host "Mirai no Natsu Gift," a new type of "Ochugen" gift, on all floors of the Main Building and on the 8th and 1st floors of the Men's Building.
"Mirai no Natsu Gift" was born from the idea of breathing new life into the traditional Japanese gift of "Ochugen" as a gift for the future. Based on Japanese culture and sensibilities, the program offers gifts selected from the perspective of imbuing future lifestyles with the "feelings" and "stories" you would want to give to your loved ones.
This year, the third installment of the program will be held throughout the entire Isetan Shinjuku Main Store and in parts of the Men's Building. Under the theme "Give a New York Story," the program will offer approximately 26 selected products, totaling approximately 1,450 items, inspired by the passions of influencers and creators. The Stage on the 1st floor of the Main Building of Isetan Shinjuku Main Store will also be selling the magical gift, the ECCO Smartpen 4GB Model (¥31,320 including tax). At first glance, it's a simple combination of a thick black pen and a notebook, but when you turn on the pen and write letters while speaking, and then place the pen tip over the word, the audio of the writing will play.
On the 3rd floor of the main building, an event titled "Give Memories" is being held, combining cassette tapes selected by Nakameguro's cassette tape specialty store waltz with archive magazines, T-shirts, and accessories to create gifts that bring back memories. On the 6th floor of the main building, the Toki no Ba Promotion, a personal history commercial, will also be featured, along with "For You (Special You)" (1,080,000 yen including tax), which will create a personal history documentary film that will help preserve the memories of loved ones.
On the 4th floor of the main building, the East Park Promotion, and at Cha no Michi Toraya on the 1st basement floor of the main building, they are offering "Mirai no Yokan," a sweet treat that is both visually appealing and savory. A limited number of 15 items will be available each day, including a yokan (3,240 yen including tax) that will make you feel like you've received a fashion gift, and a beautiful yokan (1,944 yen including tax) with two thin, alternating layers of black and red yokan. The Men's Residence on the 8th floor of the Men's Building will offer a limited-edition "Spicy Highball Set" (16,632 yen including tax), a gift that perfectly captures the essence of a high-quality, luxurious moment. The set includes 10-year-old whiskey from the Isle of Skye, Scotland, "YAMAZAKI PREMIUM SODA," black pepper, a pepper shaker, a pair of glasses, and a jazz CD. Enjoy a premium highball with a crisp, spicy kick while listening to jazz. Other items on offer include miscellaneous goods with a pop twist on traditional Japanese patterns, Edo Kiriko glassware that injects a touch of cuteness and sexiness, and baby gifts with custom embroidered letters and motifs.
