Demi-League signs deal with Carrie's favorite cashmere knitwear brand in SATC

Jan 25, 2013

SAZABY LEAGUE has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for DEMYLEE in Japan with IDL 19 AND COMPANY t/a DEMYLEE (headquartered in New York). DEMYLEE became a hot topic when Carrie wore its knitwear in the film "Sex and the City" and Sarah Jessica Parker included it in her own wardrobe. The brand offers a wide range of knitwear, including sweaters, cardigans, dresses, tops, hats, scarves, and gloves, made primarily from high-quality 100% cashmere from Inner Mongolia. The line offers a wide variety of colors, including violet, fuchsia pink, and royal blue. Prices range from ¥7,000 to ¥10,000 for tops and ¥10,000 to ¥40,000 for knitwear (based on retail price). While the brand has previously been sold in department stores and major select shops in Japan, the agreement was reached due to the brand's strong affinity with SAZABY LEAGUE's philosophy of "offering a lifestyle that brings a little luxury and fun to everyday moments." Previously, Sotheby's had its lines sold at Ron Herman and other outlets.

Female designer Demy Lee is originally from Korea. After gaining experience at Calvin Klein and Tory Burch, she founded her own brand in 2007. Her concept is "favorite items in your closet, items you can wear every day."

The men's line "LAD BY DEMYLEE," which will be launched in the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection, is also scheduled to be sold in Japan.
