■ "The House of Beauty and Culture" by Kasia Maciejowska

This is the first book to document House of Beauty and Culture (HOBAC), the avant-garde boutique and design studio founded by Christopher Nemeth and Judy Blame in the late 1980s that had a major impact on London culture.

This book was published by Dutch independent art publisher Roma Publications to coincide with the Judy Blame exhibition, which is running at the ICA, London's Institute of Contemporary Art, until September 4, 2016.

Shelf will be holding a new art and photo book fair from publisher Roma Publications from August 16th to September 11th. This will be the first time in about three years since the fall of 2013 that the fair will be held. The fair will focus on titles published since the last fair, including "The House of Beauty and Culture," Roma Publications' latest work, which was introduced this time. The fair will also feature an exhibition and sale of books, as well as an introduction to their next title.

Roma Publications is an independent art publishing company founded in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 1998 by graphic designer Roger Willems and artists Mark Manders and Mark Nachtsam. To date, he has produced catalogs for exhibitions at art museums in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and other parts of Europe, as well as around 280 publications, including artist books with unique bindings.
