Piaget's Altiplano collection is now introducing a tourbillon with an aventurine dial, limited to 38 pieces.
Starry Sky Dial
The aventurine glass used on the dial of the new Altiplano Tourbillon is truly a magical material, and its name comes from the Italian word "avventura," meaning "adventure."
To create the dial of this new watch, copper oxide was added to the glass to achieve its brilliance reminiscent of a mesmerizing night sky filled with stars. The watch's off-center window at 2 o'clock houses the slim flying tourbillon cage, which, together with the hour and minute counter at 8 o'clock, forms the number 8, the symbol of infinity, representing eternity and unchanging love.
A Cosmic Watch
The bezel of this infinite and creative white gold watch is set with baguette-cut diamonds. The lugs and crown are set with 13 round brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.19 ct), while the bezel is adorned with 48 baguette-cut diamonds (approx. 2.06 ct).
Brought to life by the Piaget 670P thin manual-wound tourbillon movement, the watch has a sapphire crystal case-back and is presented on a dark blue alligator strap with a white gold buckle set with 24 round brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.06 ct).
