On August 26th, ANREALAGE will open a new store, "ANREALAGE AOYAMA" (1F, 5-2-15 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo), on the first floor of BY PARCO, Parco's new multi-purpose street-level shopping mall in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo. The store is strengthening its collaboration with other industries, including music and video, and is positioned not only as a retail space but also as a forum for disseminating information. Takayuki Suzuki of BRANCH.Inc. was in charge of the interior, creating a space that combines Japanese aesthetics with Umglass technology. Umglass, which features instant dimming glass that instantly switches between transparent and opaque, functions as a display window when transparent and as a light box illuminating the interior when opaque, changing the store's atmosphere. The floor is covered with pebbles, and the store features an interior room called the "Four Seasons Room," which changes with the seasons. The "Four Seasons Room" will broadcast seasonal music throughout the store, reflecting the changing of Japan's seasons through music. Sound coordination was handled by Sakanaction's Ichiro Yamaguchi, who performed all of the music himself. Based on seasonal sounds, three one-hour ambient tracks will be played for each season, for a total of 12 tracks throughout the year. The store will also carry products exclusive to the Aoyama store, including a custom-made patchwork series, a technology series using photochromic and retroreflective materials, and an object series showcasing unique designs. Other items include resin bangles for Apple Watches and a series of items over 10 years old that have been re-dyed black. In the adjacent space, limited-edition "ASICS x KEISUKE KANDA x ANREALAGE" items, a collaboration between ASICS and KEISUKE KANDA, will also be available.
