Shinagawa Open Theater, a regularly scheduled outdoor theater event, will be held at Shinagawa Season Terrace from September 3rd. Enjoy films on a giant screen set on a vast lawn against the beautiful night view of Tokyo Tower and office buildings. The event kicked off in September and will be held every other month from October. It will also host workshops and seasonal events open to a wide range of audiences, making it a comprehensive, interactive entertainment theater that offers not only viewing but also hands-on experience. The first event, held on September 3rd, was supported by a grant from the Minato Ward 70th Anniversary Project, and offers special free viewing and events. The film selected for screening will be "Where the Wild Things Are (dubbed version)," based on the internationally bestselling novel by Maurice Sendak. This film will inspire imaginations and remind us of the importance of playfulness, making it enjoyable for both adults and children.
In addition, a free workshop will be held before the film screening. Participants will be able to take part in the production of the opening video using slow motion photography and actually appear in the video, giving them a chance to see professional filming techniques and the editing process up close. The completed video will then be screened as the opening movie, and you will be able to experience the power and excitement of it projected onto a giant screen. In addition, food trucks will be set up at the venue offering a variety of dishes, and there will also be events where you can enjoy DJs and VJs to add color to the evening.
