"Numero TOKYO" will hold a pop-up at Isetan Salone to celebrate its 100th issue! The legendary mod coat will also be revived by HYKE.

Aug 27, 2016

To celebrate the release of its 100th issue, Numero TOKYO, a magazine first published in 2007, will open a pop-up store, "Numero TOKYO 100 POP-UP STORE in ISETAN SALONE," at Isetan Salone in Tokyo Midtown from August 27th, the release date, until September 7th.

The pop-up store will sell a variety of limited-edition items created in collaboration with domestic and international brands and designers associated with the magazine. The collection will feature new releases of UNDERCOVER's popular transfer print pouches, collaboration items between mastermind JAPAN and HELLO KITTY MEN, a HYKE mod coat, a TOGA bangle set, and items from popular brands such as MSGM, mame, AMBUSH, and Olympia Le-Tan. The collection will also feature an exhibition of works featured in the magazine's "Idea Box" column, which has been serialized since the magazine's launch. This corner has previously showcased works by numerous artists, celebrities, and cultural figures, and this time, archived works by Chara, Kyoko Koizumi, Jun Miura, Ringo Sheena, and others will be showcased through photos and videos. Additionally, six actual works by Azuma Makoto, Omiya Ellie, Suzuki Yasuhiro, Tatehana Noritaka, Hamasaki Ayumi, and Mine Nayuka, which are featured in issue 100, will also be on display.

An opening party will also be held on the evening of the first day, August 27th, providing a fun time with a variety of content, including a talk show by Maison Kitsuné's creative director Kuroki Masaya and the magazine's editor-in-chief Tanaka Kyoko, as well as a mini live performance by jan and naomi. Also scheduled for September 4th are giveaways of notebooks with customized illustrations by illustrator Sekine Shogo, and a hand treatment and nail art experience event at total beauty salon uka.
