On August 26th, MUVEIL will release a collaboration brooch with embroidery artist Moko Kobayashi's brand, Moko Kobayashi, at its flagship store, Gallery Muveil, located in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo. This collaboration features two new brooches (priced at ¥25,000 each) in the "Grandma" series, which features charms inspired by MUVEIL's muse, the grandmother. Tiny vintage glass beads, made in France between the 1930s and 1950s, are individually hand-embroidered to create a three-dimensional representation of the hat and pearl necklace worn by Grandma. To coincide with the release of the brooches, an exhibition of Moko Kobayashi's work will be held at Gallery Muveil from August 26th to September 8th. During the exhibition, speech bubble brooches (priced at ¥16,000 each) that appear to depict Grandma speaking will also be available for purchase. The speech bubbles come in eight different words: "S.V.P (Thank you)," "Zut! (Tch)," "Oui (Yes)," "Bon (Nice)," "Cava? (How are you?)," "Merci (Thank you)," "Salut (Hello)," and "OH!".
In addition, Moko Kobayashi herself and Muveil designer Michiko Nakayama are scheduled to visit the store at 3pm on August 28th.
