"Graceful Antiques: An Invitation to Beautiful Western Antiques," the second antiques exhibition following last year's, will be held at Bunkamura Gallery in Shibuya, Tokyo, from September 8th to September 14th.

Antiques have long been considered a part of everyday life. Over the course of centuries, they have a timeless appeal, passing from person to person, sometimes transforming into rare, luxurious objects.

However, antiques—such as watches and accessories that remain a constant part of our bodies, tableware that adorns everyday meals, and artwork that soothes the soul—are just as familiar and harmonious with our lives today.

Furthermore, in today's world, where environmental and social issues such as mass production and mass consumption are beginning to take root, the messages of antiques, such as "cherishing things" and "passing them on to the next generation," are particularly important keywords.

The theme of this exhibition is "Antiques and Lifestyle," and it will feature a wide selection of items, including luxurious antiques by Emile Gallé, the Daum Brothers, and vintage clocks, as well as spoons that can be used at home right away and lace that can be used as craft supplies. Another feature of this exhibition is that you will be able to talk directly with the buyers who are purchasing the items. During the exhibition, there will also be "mini lectures" where exhibitors will give talks that condense the appeal of antiques.
