Sapeurs, the world's most stylish group of gentlemen who wish to bring world peace through fashion, have come to Japan from Congo.
FASHION HEADLINE held a fashion shoot in Shinjuku, Tokyo, titled "THE Sapuer FASHION Journey in JAPAN," to allow Sapeur members to experience Japanese culture and chic.
The photographer was Chano Kunio, who shot the photo book "THE SAPUER - The World's Most Stylish Gentleman, Met in Congo."
Soon after arriving in Japan, the six Sapeurs walking the streets of Shinjuku caught the attention of passersby. Although they must have been tired from the long journey from Congo and the days of interviews and events, they greeted us with smiles and communicated the Sapeur message of praying for peace and taking pride in being kind to others through their own style.

Golden Gai is a deep spot in Shinjuku, located behind Hanazono Shrine. On a sunny summer afternoon, the Sapeurs stepped into this town, where people would normally start gathering after sunset. They quenched their thirst with beer at BAR Carrot in Golden Gai.
