Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings announced its June sales report on the 1st. Total sales at Isetan Mitsukoshi increased 5.7% year-on-year. Cumulative sales from April to June also increased 5.2%, marking the fifth consecutive month of year-on-year sales growth. 
By store, Isetan Shinjuku Flagship Store recorded sales increases of 11.1%, Mitsukoshi Nihombashi Flagship Store 3.2%, and Mitsukoshi Ginza Store 10.7%. Sales at domestic group department stores, with the exception of Hiroshima Mitsukoshi, also increased year-on-year, maintaining their strong performance.
In terms of overall performance at Isetan Mitsukoshi, the Isetan Shinjuku Flagship Store and the Mitsukoshi Ginza Store, which were remodeled and grandly reopened in March, continued to achieve double-digit growth, following May. While many regional stores saw year-on-year declines, sales at Mitsukoshi Nihombashi Flagship Store and Isetan Urawa Store (up 2.2%) increased, resulting in overall favorable results.
In terms of sales by product, sales of regular products, particularly fashion items such as women's accessories and women's clothing, were strong. In particular, women's accessories such as handbags, women's shoes, and hats have been driving overall sales since early spring. In addition, due to the high temperatures in June, women's dresses and cut-and-sew items and casual-style cool biz fashion for men sold well.
