Pacific Furniture Services and Engineered Garments Collaborate Again

Jan 30, 2013

Pacific Furniture Service (PFS) in Ebisu, Tokyo, is holding its second special exhibition on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from January 30th.
PFS's president, Yohei Ishikawa, founded United Pacific in 1988 after leaving the SAZABY LEAGUE. While creating fixtures for apparel manufacturers, the company also reproduced furniture for the U.S. military. In 1996, the company opened its own store, Pacific Furniture Service, in Ebisu. The company creates furniture based on the concept of "open furniture."
By designing, manufacturing, and selling its products in its own factory, the company offers a total lifestyle. Currently, the company not only designs furniture, but also handles residential and commercial space design, including the design of all DELFONICS stores. Its furniture production and spatial design spans a wide range of genres, from fashion brand shops to private homes. This exhibition marks the return of a collaboration with Engineered Garments, the fashion brand designed by Suzuki Daiki. A special item will be a collaborative armchair upholstered in Engineered Garments' original fabric. Engineered Garments' fabric is made with the same composition as US military pants, making it tear-resistant and giving it a texture different from upholstery fabric. The one-seater sofa will be priced at 126,000 yen and available in two colors: olive and khaki. Two-seater and three-seater sofas are also available to order.
