A pop-up cafe called "GOOD MONDAY ESPRESSO BAR" has opened in THE CO2, a cafe inside the community-based commercial space "246COMMON" (3-14 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku) along Omotesando and Aoyama-dori. The first cafe, on July 8th, attracted an unexpected 60 visitors during its two-hour opening hours. Future openings are scheduled for July 15th, 22nd, and 29th, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The store is shaped like a trunk, about 150 centimeters tall, and when opened, reveals an espresso machine and other items. A "GOOD MONDAY ESPRESSO BAR" sign, handmade by the staff, is the landmark. The barista in charge of drinks is Masashi Oda of THE CO2. In collaboration with Onibus Coffee, a coffee shop in Okusawa, they will be offering special espresso (300 yen) and latte (400 yen). The food will be prepared by Chef Morieda Miki, also of THE CO2. The menu includes the parfait-style breakfast "Monday Sunday" (300 yen), a soft serve ice cream cone stuffed with a soft-boiled egg, corn potage mousse, and bacon. Original T-shirts (3,000 yen) and espresso cups (1,200 yen) will also be on sale.

Also, keep an eye out for the barista fashion. Matsuzawa Ami, who runs Lunch Trip, a lunch study group for travel enthusiasts, and Hiramatsu Yumi, a personal stylist, are in charge of styling, and the barista fashions will change weekly. This pop-up cafe was produced by EBISU301, a group of creators who plan and run events such as Morning Party, which proposes a new morning culture themed around food and culture, and MIDNIGHT RUNNERS TOKYO, which allows people to enjoy running in Tokyo at midnight. The pop-up cafe was made possible by raising approximately 100,000 yen through Tokyo Crowdfunding Club, a crowdfunding site run by Time Out Tokyo.
