With a commercial area that extends from major cities like Kyoto and Nagoya to Fukui in the north and Nara in the south, Mitsui Outlet Park Shiga Ryuo (1178-694 Sunayama, Yakushi, Ryuo-cho, Gamo-gun, Shiga Prefecture) reopened on the 11th with the addition of 70 new stores. With a total of 237 stores, it is one of the largest outlet malls in the Kinki region.

In addition to the South Mall, which opened in 2010 as the first factory outlet in the Kyoto/Shiga area, the newly opened North Mall is a three-story building (with parking on the first and second floors) with a total floor area of 48,000 square meters. Based on the design concept of "Flowers," which bloom in abundant nature, the facility aims to be an environmentally friendly facility that takes energy conservation and disaster prevention into consideration.

In conjunction with this second phase opening, a total of 15 new stores and expansions have been added to the existing South Mall building. Brands making their Japan outlet debut include Adam et Rope Wild Life Tailor STOCK, Lily Brown, and DEUX MONCX in the North Mall, and Paul Smith in the South Mall. American Eagle Outfitters is scheduled to open in early August, bringing the total to nine stores. Many other stores, including Lindt Chocolat Cafe, Harrods, and ANYA HINDMARCH, are opening in outlets in the Kinki region for the first time. At the opening event, CanCam model and photographer Aiku Maikawa will appear in a special talk show. A photo exhibition titled "AIKU: Road," featuring her photographs capturing the charms of Shiga, will be held in a special space within the facility until July 28th.
