British hat brand KANGOL, celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, will launch its first collaboration with Disney at the end of this month with three hat styles symbolizing each era of the brand. The "DISNEY ANGLOBASQUE BERET W BOW" (black or red, ¥6,825 each) is a beret with a ribbon, representing 1938, the year the brand was founded. The "DISNEY CASUAL" (black, red, or dark blue, ¥9,450 each) represents 1983, the year the kangaroo logo was created, and is a hat-style hat with a kangaroo logo in the center. The "DISNEY 507" (black, dark flannel, or dark blue, ¥8,400 each) represents the modern era, and is a hunting cap with a Disney character patch. The beret comes with a black sticker, the hat comes with a red sticker, and the hunting cap comes with a navy sticker.

Also, for the fall/winter season, the "Breaking K" logo by British graffiti artist Temper will be revived. The men's collection, "Team Stripe Trapper" and "Team Stripe 507" (6,930 yen each), which incorporate college-style details, will be released from mid-September to early October, while the women's collection, "Lite Felt Diva" and "Lite Felt Trilby" (12,600 yen each), will be released from mid-August to early September.

Kangol was founded in the UK in 1938. Founder Jacques Spreiregen is said to have taken the brand name from three words: "Knitting," "Angora," and "Wool." Kangol became famous as a brand of berets worn by the British Imperial Army during World War II, and the entire British team wore Kangol berets at the opening ceremony of the 1948 Olympics. Currently, they produce items with a wide range of styles, from traditional to hip hop. In Japan, they have a storefront at the entrance to Cat Street in Harajuku.
