Nike announces new Lunarlon-equipped models for classic models like the Air Force 1

Jul 24, 2013

Nike Sportswear has released the Nike Lunar Icons, a shoe featuring the latest Nike Lunarlon foam technology. The design is based on four iconic Nike models. By using Lunarlon, which offers excellent cushioning, the shoe is 30% lighter than previous models that use Phylon (resin). The Nike Lunar Cheyenne (9,450 yen) is modeled after the brand's first soccer cleats, the Cheyenne, also known as "The Nike," released in 1971. The Nike Lunar Force 1 (13,650 yen) is an Air Force 1 model that uses Lunarlon for the air.

The "Nike Lunar LDV Trail Low" (12,600 yen) is a customized version of the best-selling Nike LDV long-distance running shoe, which was released in 1978. The "Nike Blazer" basketball shoe, which was released in 1972, has been improved for street use as the "Nike Lunar Blazer" (10,500 yen).

These shoes are scheduled to be released sequentially from mid-August to September at Nike retailers nationwide.
