Ne-net will release the 17cm "Steiff Nya" (15,750 yen) in collaboration with the German luxury stuffed toy brand Steiff on the 2nd of next month. The figure features Steiff's iconic "button-in-ear" ears and is engraved with a serial number. The limited edition designation is written in red on a white background. The figure will be sold in limited quantities at the Ne-net Nya stores in Etica Ikebukuro, Etica Fit Tokyo, and the pop-up shop at Shibuya Hikarie Syncs (until August 31st), as well as at all Ne-net stores. Ne-net designer Kazuaki Takashima, a personal Steiff fan, expressed his joy at the collaboration with his beloved brand in a blog post, saying, "It's amazing! It's like a dream." Steiff was founded in Germany in 1880 and produced the world's first teddy bear. Each doll is made by artisans using alpaca, angora mohair, and fur. There is also a fan club called the Steiff Club, and Steiff collectors exist all over the world.
