Carven will release its new women's fragrance, Carven Le Parfum Eau de Parfum, on August 28th. This is the first fragrance created by Guillaume Henri, who became artistic director in 2009.
The scent, based on the theme of "sillage," was created by Francis Kurkdjian, also known as "star perfumer." It is a fresh, airy, and feminine scent inspired by the refined "Carven woman," who combines elegance and innocence.
Top notes of mandarin blossom and white hyacinth are followed by middle notes of sweet pea, jasmine, and ylang-ylang, and the base notes are woody notes of white sandalwood, osmanthus, and Indonesian patchouli. The bottle, which has a ribbon around the neck, is made of frosted glass and features green stripes all over the box.
Prices are 6,825 yen for 30ml, 9,765 yen for 50ml, and 12,915 yen for 100ml. Shower gel (4,410 yen for 200ml) and body milk (5,775 yen for 200ml) will also be released at the same time.
Carven is a couture house founded in 1946 by Carmen de Tomaso, also known as "Madame Carven." It also achieved success in the perfume business, releasing its first "Ma Griffe" in 1946 and "Vetiver" in 1957. Carven Fragrances, which developed the fragrance business, was acquired by the Jacques Bogard Group in 2009, and subsequently launched new women's fragrances. The designs of Ma Griffe and Vetiver have also been revamped.
