Carven's first street-level store in Japan, featuring a variety of limited-edition items

Apr 26, 2013

CARVEN opened its first street-level store in Japan on April 10th in Omotesando (4-3-12 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). The two-floor store features both women's and men's collections, including some items that are only available at the store in Japan. Currently available are a limited-edition women's polo dress combining stripes and Kashmir print, and men's botanical-print chukka boots, a collaboration with ZESPA, a handmade shoe brand from the south of France. Eric Chevallie, who has worked on all corners of CARVEN's Paris flagship stores and department stores, designed the store, embodying the vision of artistic director Guillaume Henry. Natural light pours in through large glass windows, creating a bright interior. Products are displayed on simple, natural-wood fixtures, and the store features concrete walls and metal ceiling lights. Carven welcomed Guillaume to the brand in 2010 and launched its ready-to-wear line, opening its first free-standing store in Paris in 2011. It opened its first store in Asia in Hong Kong last spring, and its second store in Paris in March of this year.
