Polaroid photographer Marion Clark holds first photo exhibition in Japan

Jul 20, 2013

French photographer Marion Dubier-Clark's first photo exhibition in Japan will be held at Tokyo Arts Gallery from August 23rd to September 6th.

The exhibition features selected works from her latest collection, "From San Francisco to Los Angeles." This collection is a continuation of "100 Poraloids," the collection that marked the beginning of Marion's career as a photographer. It is a travelogue-like volume featuring photographs taken during her travels to San Francisco, Death Valley, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles, and other locations. All of the images were taken on Polaroid film.

Marion was born in Normandy, France in 1973. She grew up in the south of France and decided at a young age to travel the world. From the age of 18, she traveled for 10 years, from Australia to Mexico, Turkey to the UK. She then studied photography and continued traveling alone with a Polaroid camera. In 2009, she published her highly acclaimed collection, "100 Poraloids." She has since published two more collections. Her work is also included in the 20th-century collection of the National Library of France.
