
Isetan Mitsukoshi has started accepting reservations for its 2016 New Year's dishes. The period is from September 30th to December 24th at Mitsukoshi and from October 7th to December 23rd at Isetan.

At the Mitsukoshi Ginza store, products on sale include the "Ginza Mitsukoshi Special Two-Tiered New Year's Feast with Black Beans and Sea Bream Tea Sauce" (70,000 yen including tax) from Ginza Uchiyama, which opened at Ginza Mitsukoshi in February this year, and the "Kissho Special One-Tiered New Year's Feast with Three Bottled Fertility Gifts" (43,000 yen) from the famous Japanese cuisine and shabu-shabu restaurant Kissho Ginza Main Branch.
Isetan, which has the theme of "Art & Future," has prepared a total of 358 types, including 78 types exclusive to Isetan. To commemorate the 400th anniversary of Arita ware, the "Arita Ware Osechi" will feature dishes prepared by six talented chefs in special Arita ware boxes crafted with the auspicious motifs of pine, bamboo, and plum. Also available will be osechi dishes paired with Dom Pérignon Vintage 2006 and Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2004, all with the theme of "enjoying osechi with champagne as the main focus." Also featuring "good fortune" and "happiness," the menu will include the "Spanish Pinchos Three-Tiered Box" (¥50,000), inspired by the Spanish tradition of eating 12 grapes as the bells ring on New Year's Eve to ensure a happy year, and the "Blessings of Nasu and a Tour of the Seven Lucky Gods Two-Tiered Box" (¥39,000), featuring the Seven Lucky Gods as the motif.
