Hankyu Department Store has begun accepting pre-orders for a wide variety of 332 types of osechi dishes.
Selling a variety of osechi dishes to meet the increasingly diverse needs of families, Hankyu Umeda Main Store boasts one of the largest osechi dishes in Japan, with annual sales of approximately 500 million yen. This year, they will be offering 332 types, four more than last year.
One of the most notable dishes is the "6-serving osechi" designed for large groups such as family and friends. This osechi was developed after many people were seen purchasing multiple osechi dishes for two or three people last year, and will be offered by three brands: The Westin Miyako Kyoto, Harisei, and Takaraume.
A wide variety of other osechi dishes will also be available in the lineup. The menu includes the Kyoto cuisine restaurant Kaji's Japanese-style osechi (33,480 yen including tax), which is packed with luxurious small dishes and perfect for a couple to spend New Year's Day together; the Osaka Shinhankyu Hotel's three-generation osechi, which includes dishes such as hamburger steaks that children will love and can be enjoyed by three generations; Japanese-style, Western-style, and children's osechi (29,800 yen including tax); and the "Umai Kiwami" Japanese-style osechi (17,280 yen including tax), which brings together delicacies from all over the country and allows you to enjoy a variety of flavors in one box.
