FPM (Fantastic Plastic Machine), a band whose soundtracks include the Uniqlo app, various commercials, and DJ sets at parties for international brands, will release their first album in three years and two months, "scale," on February 13th. FPM continues to offer a sound that is closely connected to the fashion and dance floor scenes on a global level, having composed music for Takashi Murakami's Louis Vuitton animation and for Uniqlock. Their eighth original album begins with a track they provided for a game content released as part of a Uniqlo UK e-commerce site campaign, followed by a series of tracks inspired by music used in Smirnoff vodka's web app, as well as commercials for Nature Made, AEON, Shu Uemura, and Kirin Namacha. The album also includes music used at Bic Camera's Shinjuku Style Collection 2012.

Based on their signature dance tracks, "I Was in Love" boldly samples 10CC's classic "I'm not in love," arguably the highlight of this release, and features Takeshi Hosomi (formerly of ELLEGARDEN) of the HIATUS on vocals. The album is heavily infused with pop elements, and the continuous looped layers throughout evoke the "scale" of the album's title, making it sure to get the dance floor going.

The album jacket and booklet were designed by Frédéric Le Chevalier, an artist garnering attention in the French graffiti scene. The curation, including the visuals, is truly that of a sound concierge.
