On October 9th, food specialty store DEAN & DELUCA released a cooking sauce series that allows customers to easily create authentic rice dishes from around the world by simply stir-frying or cooking them with rice.
Under the supervision of a chef, the series faithfully recreates popular DEAN & DELUCA dishes. The four dishes available are "Paella" (900 yen) and "Singapore Chicken Rice" (900 yen), which can be cooked in a rice cooker with two cups of rice, and "Jambalaya" (700 yen) and "Nasi Goreng" (700 yen), which can be stir-fried in a frying pan with 320g of rice.
With just a little ingenuity, each dish can be transformed into a more authentic meal, perfect for a home party. "Paella" (900 yen) is a seafood soup packed with chicken, onions, and other ingredients, flavored with saffron. Simply sprinkle salt and pepper to taste and top with grilled head-on shrimp, squid, or mussels for a luxurious party meal. "Singapore Chicken Rice" (900 yen) features chicken and fish sauce-based soup with ginger and coriander, and can be further enhanced with coriander for a more authentic taste. Dean & Deluca's most popular dish, "Jambalaya" (700 yen), is characterized by its spicy flavor made from several spices. It can also be enjoyed with toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. "Nasi Goreng" (700 yen) is a tomato-based dish accented with oyster sauce and shrimp sauce, and adding a fried egg makes it visually appealing. Available at DEAN & DELUCA Market stores in Roppongi, Shinagawa, Yurakucho, Shibuya, Yaesu, Kichijoji, Shinjuku, Yokohama, Ebisu, Osaka, Nagoya, Sakae and Fukuoka.
