Daikanyama Design Department (DDD), an event bringing together the latest designs from Japan and abroad, is taking place at Daikanyama T-Site from October 24th to November 3rd.
The event, based on the concept of "proposing and introducing the latest designs from Japan and abroad," creates a space for "learning, thinking, and enjoying" design, and hosts exhibitions by various designers. The exhibited and presented works are also available for purchase.
This year's third event, titled "WE LOVE Daikanyama," focuses on the theme of "Daikanyama Creation," and introduces creators from a variety of genres, including designers and architects active in the Daikanyama area. This event allows visitors to fully enjoy the creations emanating from Daikanyama, a city that has served as a base for many creators and spawned countless creative projects for the 46 years since Hillside Terrace was completed.

In addition, Daikanyama T-SITE Garden Gallery will exhibit and sell new furniture from Karimoku New Standard, a new brand from Karimoku Furniture, which has been in business for over 70 years. There are also plans to invite designers from overseas to hold talk events. Also, from October 30th, there will be a triumphant return exhibition of "Grand Seiko Through Three Photographers' Eyes," an art photography project commemorating the 55th anniversary of the luxury watch brand Grand Seiko, which was announced at Baselworld 2015, the international watch and jewelry trade fair held in March of this year. At this event, three internationally active photographers, Keiichi Tahara, Yuji Hamada, and Sakiko Nomura, will capture Grand Seiko from their own perspectives.
