BAPE(R) will release a functional face shield. As a preventative measure against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), many people are increasingly wearing masks and face shields to protect themselves from the invisible threat of the virus and prevent droplet transmission to others. Starting May 8, 2021, A BATHING APE(R) / Nowhere Co., Ltd. will release a face shield at BAPE STORE(R) and BAPE.COM. This face shield, worn alongside a mask, can better protect against droplets from spreading to others.

The face shields released by BAPE(R) feature the brand's signature designs, BAPE(R) CAMO and APE HEAD. Developed by Boston Club, an eyewear manufacturer based in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a globally renowned eyewear production center, the glasses utilize a unique eyeglass design technology that adjusts the fit and prevents direct contact with the face. Compared to masks, these glasses offer benefits such as keeping makeup and hairstyles in place and preventing heat buildup. Their innovative back-fit design also prevents slippage and pain. From BAPE®-inspired all-over patterns to simple APE HEAD designs, the lineup complements casual outfits. Add comfort and a touch of BAPE® color to your everyday masks and face shields. Separately sold face shields and mouth shields come in different designs, allowing you to customize your look.
