Disneyland Resort in California is currently holding a special event, "Diamond Celebration," celebrating its 60th anniversary. As we've already mentioned, you can enjoy a special night show unique to this anniversary year. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are packed with entertainment that will transport you to a dream world, including original attractions only available here, high-level shows unique to the United States, and spots associated with founder Walt Disney. This time, we'll introduce some of the highlights. First up is Cars Land, a theme park that opened in Disney California Adventure Park in 2012. Located on a vast site the size of the Tokyo Dome, it boasts an area themed around the Disney Pixar film "Cars." Recreating the iconic streets of Radiator Springs and the majestic red rock formations of Ornament Valley, the park offers a playful yet nostalgic atmosphere. At Radiator Springs Racers, a popular attraction within Cars Land, you can hop into colorful racing cars, including the red Lightning McQueen from the film, and experience thrilling races at speeds of over 60 km/h. The unpredictable and exciting races make this one of the most popular attractions, ensuring you'll never get bored, no matter how many times you participate.
Another must-see at Adventure Park is Mickey's Fun Wheel, the park's iconic giant Ferris wheel. At first glance, it looks like a regular Ferris wheel, but there's a surprise in store: you can enjoy a completely different experience depending on whether you choose a fixed or swinging gondola. At the top, you'll be about 45 meters above ground, and the spectacular view overlooking the entire Adventure Park is sure to take your breath away. Other attractions include thrilling rides and outdoor attractions like "California Screamin'" and "Silly Symphony Swing," as well as the Grizzly River Run water ride, where you ride a raft down rapids. Disneyland Park, comprised of eight themed lands including "Main Street, U.S.A." and "Adventureland," offers plenty of entertainment for both adults and children. Don't miss out on attractions like "Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage," where you can explore the depths of the ocean with the characters from the film "Finding Nemo" aboard a real submarine, or "Matterhorn Bobsleds," where you board a sled-style coaster from a train station modeled after a chalet on the Matterhorn in the Alps and glide down the snowy mountain while dodging the attacks of a raging Yeti. The theme park, Tomorrowland, is once again garnering attention thanks to the recent release of the George Clooney-starring film "Tomorrowland." Enjoy authentic versions of popular Japanese attractions, including "Space Mountain," a high-speed rocket ride through space, and "Star Tours: The Adventure Continues," a recreation of the world of the upcoming "Star Wars" film, due for release in December. Other attractions include "Mickey and the Magical Map," a spectacular live show featuring a giant LED screen and cutting-edge sound system, and "Fantasmic!", which immerses guests in a whirlwind of excitement with the magic of water and light. Disneyland Park also boasts a small apartment on the second floor of the fire station where Walt Disney actually slept with his wife, Lillian, and their children, as well as the final photo Walt took of Mickey Mouse. These relics offer a glimpse into the founder's dreams and warmth, making them a major attraction.
California Disneyland Resort is currently running a gift campaign for travelers from Japan on selected travel products. Why not take this opportunity to experience some authentic American "Disney magic"?
