Nail artist JUNKO will be sharing her simple and stylish summer nail designs until July 17th. Today, she introduces bohemian-style tribal nail art created using ANNA SUI's new nail colors and nail pens, which just debuted in June. "This nail art is inspired by the jacquard finish of clothing. As their catchphrase 'Everyone Can Be a Nail Artist' suggests, ANNA SUI's nail art pens are incredibly easy to use, and while this art design looks elaborate, it's actually incredibly simple. The finished product is inspired by ethnic patterns. The variety of ANNA SUI's new nail designs is incredible! Depending on your imagination, you can create any style of nail art you like. I think it's fun to create all kinds of art so easily," says JUNKO. The trick to using the nail art pen is to relax and apply light pressure smoothly, as the hard tip, like a water-based pen, allows the ink to flow well. The pen's strong color payoff makes it beautiful even when layered. You can create the pattern you want with just one stroke without smudging.

The three nail colors chosen by JUNKO are all non-pearl types with a matte sheen. The purple N202 is a pop color with a somewhat retro feel. The combination of the yellow N800, which has a slightly milky nuance, and the orange named Valencia has a bohemian feel.

The handle of the nail bottle is shaped like a bird, which is a pleasant surprise as it not only looks cute but also has the added benefit of being easy to open. ■How to
(1) The borders of this nail art are decorated with a nail art pen, so even if you can't draw perfectly straight lines, the design still makes use of the casual finish of hand painting. For the hands, after applying a clear base coat, paint with Nail Color N800 to create a sharp French line at about an 80-degree angle.
(2) Use Nail Art Pen 001 to fill in the borders between the clear and N800 with shaggy lines.
(3) For the feet, paint the entire thumb, middle finger, and ring finger with Nail Color N202, and the entire index finger and ring finger with N800.
(4) For the thumb, middle finger, and ring finger, use N800 to create triangles above and below the nail. Once dry, use N603 to draw an even smaller triangle. Use Nail Art Pen 002 to fill in the border between the base N202 and N800, and use Nail Art Pen 001 to fill in the border between N800 and N603 and the inside of N603 with random lines, just as in (2). *For the index finger and ring finger of the foot, switch the color combinations using the same method as in (4).
